On behalf of the House of Hope Board of Directors, we wish each of you a joyful, meaningful and healthy holiday season. While this season is a time to be grateful and happy, many women are struggling with despair, hopelessness and sickness from the disease of addiction. The House of Hope offers “hope” as its name promises. We, as the Board of Directors, are very grateful to the House of Hope staff and Maricela Gray, the Executive Director, for the care and dedication they tirelessly give to the women of our treatment programs. Maricela and the staff members put their hearts, minds and work into guiding women to healthy and responsible lives. Their work is very meaningful work – true examples of dedication to the service of others.

This year the Board of Directors held a fundraiser in honor of all of the years Ed Storti devoted time, creativity and dedication to raising funds for the House of Hope. We want to thank Judy Hollingshead, one of our directors, for hosting the event at her home. We also thank those who attended and/or donated to the House of Hope in Ed’s honor. For those who would like to donate in Ed’s honor, you can click on this link https://houseofhopesp.org/product/ed-storti-bbq-donation/ and donate on line or contact Maricela to do so. We are so very grateful to Ed and those that supported him throughout the years.

We also want to acknowledge and thank Las Esperanzas for their dedication to the House of Hope. This lovely group of women continue to fundraise for the House of Hope. We are so grateful to you!

Once again, I want to thank my fellow board members as well as the Regents. The House of Hope is blessed to have a group of thoughtful, caring and talented people who serve on its Board of Trustees and Regents. And thank you to those of you who donate to the House of Hope! Please continue to give to this amazing, incredible recovery community which has served San Pedro and its neighboring communities for over 65 years.
